NECESSARY OF SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION (SEO)

What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and is a practice adopted by site owners who want to increase the amount of traffic they receive from search engines like Google, Yahoo!, and so on. It works by improving internal and external factors to achieve a higher position on search engines on search results pages (SERPS). SEO is all the rage these days. They have always been and will always be. This is because the search engine is a big player and the reason why so many are succeeding online.
The first reason people take care with optimizing for the search engine is because they want their business to appear in the organic search listings. This makes it free and effective. This is effective only if you are appearing on the first page or at least, the top three pages. You can purchase advertising of course, but these cannot beat the organic listings and are less effective in encouraging visitors to click.
When you optimize your site, you pay attention to the title tag, Meta tags and description tags. You also need to optimize what is on the page and again, you start with the title, body and then description tags.
Give special consideration to the title because it is what appears first. This is true for both humans and the search engine. Describe the title as accurately as possible for both your web-page as well as the content on that page. Do this for every web-page.

Why is it necessary to use SEO?
SEO can be a time consuming process and I have heard many webmasters asking the question "Do we really require SEO?” The actual question to be asked is' Do I want people who visit my site? You could have a great site and spend all your time adding things to it, but if no one is visiting, it is worthwhile to continue doing? The fact is that when people want something on the Internet, they look in the search engines. If your site is not listed or is low in SERPS then you probably do not get many visitors. The bottom line is traffic from search engines can make or break your site, to invest time or money on SEO is a must for anyone wishing to have a successful web site.

Necessary SEO Objects
"Objects" are a term derived from web design talk for code that is added to your site to create a matchless function. A good instance is a web counter, which tells you how many people have visited your site.
A more sophisticated site object would be an RSS feed, which allows you to access news feed from another source. The idea is you cut and paste the code into your site and the information changes on a day-to-day basis as it is fed to one of your blog pages.
Another common object is a web ring or blogging form. This is a cheap way to draw traffic to your site. You simply join a ring of sites that have topics similar to yours and when people surf they have the option of clicking through a series of related blogs to get as much information about their site as possible.
